Micro Magnets

Description and Use

Numerous varieties of magnets of various sizes, shapes, and potency are used in magnet/acupressure therapy. Presently, ten types of micro magnets are used.

  1. Star Magnet (Medium/Standard): A small magnet with North Pole circular and South Pole star-shaped. Diameter ~5 mm. Used for balancing energy. Star side touches skin.
  2. Star Magnet (Large): Larger version (~7 mm). Used for larger Chinese points, byol points, or where greater magnetic power is needed.
  3. Star Magnet (Small): Smaller version (~3.5 mm). Used for smaller points, e.g., fingers of children.
  4. Byol Magnet (Medium/Standard): Circular, dual polarity (~5 mm). White side (South) or yellow side (North) for tonification/sedation.
  5. Byol Magnet (Large): Larger version (~7 mm). For larger points or greater power.
  6. Byol Magnet (Small): Smaller version (~3.5 mm). For smaller points.
  7. Chakra Magnet (Medium/Standard): Two-piece magnet (~11 mm). For yogic chakras and classical points.
  8. Chakra Magnet (Large): Larger version (~14 mm). For grah chakras or higher energy needs.
  9. Chakra Magnet (Small): Smaller version (~9 mm). For children’s chakras.
  10. Cluster Magnet (Star): Pre-fixed cluster of 4-5 star magnets on plastic. Used for acu point clusters.
Micro Magnets

Method: Fix magnets on body parts with surgical paper tapes for durations as advised by a therapist.

Precautions: Use byol/chakra magnets under therapist guidance. Remove immediately if discomfort, pain, or nausea occurs.

Surgical Paper Tapes

Description: Adhesive paper tape rolls in 0.5-inch and 1-inch widths, available at chemist shops.

Use: Fixes magnets or seeds on body parts.

Method: Tear required length, fix magnet/seed, and press onto body part.

Precaution: Avoid washing taped area. Use paper tape, not synthetic, to prevent skin issues.

Diagnostic Stick/Probe

Description: 10 cm metallic stick with rounded ends; deluxe model has a serrated ring.

Diagnostic Probe

Use: Diagnoses and treats acu points; gives generalized massage.

Method: Move probe over search area to find sensitive points; press or roll for treatment.

Precaution: Apply adequate pressure to avoid pain or skin damage.

Pencil Jimmy

Description: 14-15 cm wooden stick, 1.5 cm diameter, serrated with rounded ends.

Method: Move rounded end over body; press or roll serrated portion.

Precaution: Use moderate pressure to avoid pain.

Flexible Acupressure Ring

Description: Flexible metallic ring, 10 mm inner diameter, 25 mm outer, 7.5 mm thick.

Use: Stimulates energy points on fingers/toes.

Method: Roll over finger/toe from base to tip for 0.5-1 minute, 2-3 times daily.

Precaution: Do not wear ring; keep moving to avoid circulation issues.

Hand Roller (Karela)/Acupressure Ball

Description: Wooden roller (13-14 cm, 3.5 cm diameter) or ball (6 cm diameter) with sharp teeth.

Use: Generalized acupressure on palms.

Method: Roll over palm or grip for 20-40 seconds, 5 minutes total.

Precaution: Use moderate pressure to avoid skin damage.

Foot Roller

Description: Wooden roller, 28 cm long, 4-5 cm diameter, with sharp teeth.

Thumb Pad

Description: 3.5 cm x 2 cm flexible pad with bristles and thumb strap.

Method: Strap on thumb, press bristles on required area.

Sinus Cure Device

Description: Two plastic bars with metallic springs, small projections, and optional key ring.

Method: Compress springs with palm and fingers for 20-40 seconds, 2-3 times daily.

Precaution: Do not compress too hard or for too long.

Pyramid Plate

Description: 30 cm x 30 cm plastic plate, 2-3 cm thick, with pyramid-shaped projections.

Use: General acupressure on soles for body toning.

Method: Stand and raise/lower feet alternately for 5 minutes twice daily.

Precaution: Avoid empty or full stomach; use cloth if painful.

Spine Roller (Mouse)

Description: 17-18 cm wooden/plastic device with four wheels, hollow top for grip.

Spine Roller

Use: General spine acupressure to tone nervous system.

Method: Lie on abdomen; therapist rolls device from neck to coccyx, pressing moderately.

Precaution: Use moderate pressure, center wheels, roll downward only, avoid full/empty stomach.
